Building community through live shows.
When we come together in music, there is a profound sense of connection and joy when in the room. Music events are a central reason why we do this work. You can organize an event to fundraise for a cause you care about. You can plan a show that highlights new and different talent you might not have seen else where. Above all, you recognize that groups of people coming together to appreciate music in and of itself creates impact.
The Local Sound team puts together a variety of shows, concert series, and events through out the year.

The Be Kind Festival
The Be Kind Festival is our largest benefit concert of the year. We bring together all of the nonprofits we work with, and a ton of the local musicians/bands you love, and we throw a day long festival right at Three Heads Brewing in Rochester NY. Organizations table all day so you can learn and see all the work our community accomplishes throughout the year.
Food vendors will be onsite, and last year we were able to raise over $14,000! Music spans several genres, and we highlight the artists we continue to support that make our scene great.
Be Kind Tuesdays - Hosted at Three Heads Brewing
The Be Kind series is a showcase of local nonprofits and organizations in our area making a difference. This was our first series launched back in 2018. We partner with Three Heads Brewing and Stomping Ground to build awareness for these groups that do the important, necessary, and hard work. These events happen once a month on a select Tuesday, and involve an acoustic performance of a local musician as a part of the night’s festivities.
Fill out this form if you are a part of an organization and want to be highlighted in the series!
LSC Artist Showcases
There are over 75 artists in our database that we work with. Our goal is every year trying to create innovative performances and concert experiences to highlight their craft. These include pop up shows and collaborations with other venues.
